How?
How a Solar Panel water heating system works
Solar energy is efficiently captured by an array mounted on the roof of your home.
Transferred using a simple FLOW (hot) and RETURN (cool) indirect heating circuit.
Pumped and controlled using our unique pumping station, incorporating the original ‘AS’ manifold.
The water is heated by specific solar coil fitted in the bottom of the hot water cylinder.
Free hot water is then distributed to taps and showers using the building standard plumbing.
The system should be considered as a heat energy generator with various potential uses.
Main system units
Solar energy capture array utilising a bank of evacuated (vacuum ) tubes with internal heat tubes.
Indirect circuit using specially developed propane diothol based energy transfer fluid.
Unique pumping and control station incorporating the original ‘AS’ manifold.
High quality hot water cylinders made to our own design, with a high efficiency solar coil.
Advantages
Vacuum tubes have excellent energy retention, thus highly efficient even in poor weather conditions.
The heat pipe system is naturally reliable, and if an individual tube fails the system will still function.
An indirect system gives reliable operation in all condition and permits high energy transfer rates.
The pumping station and ‘AS’ manifold reduces install/total costs without compromising quality.
